Introduction: Beginning of a new era in the Indian scooter market

This scooter will compete directly with rivals like Hero Xoom 160, Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SR 175.
Design and Styling: Looks like a superbike's little sister
The design of the TVS Ntorq 150 is a real eye-catcher on the roads. Its design is inspired by stealth aircraft, with jet-style vents, integrated aerodynamic winglets and motorcycle-style handlebars. The front of the scooter is equipped with a quad-projector LED headlight setup and new stylish LED DRLs, which not only enhance its look but also provide better visibility at night.
The scooter comes with 12-inch painted alloy wheels and T-shaped LED taillights with a new "T" logo. The Ntorq 150 is available in four attractive color options like Stealth Silver, Racing Red, Turbo Blue and Nitro Green. There are '150' decals and sporty graphics on the side of the scooter, which give it an even more aggressive look.

The biggest feature of TVS Ntorq 150 is its powerful engine. It has a 149.7cc air-cooled O3CTech engine, which generates 13 bhp power at 7000 rpm and 14.2 Nm torque at 5500 rpm. This scooter achieves a speed of 0-60 km/h in just 6.3 seconds and its top speed is 104 km/h. However, during the test ride, it was able to achieve a speed of only 99-100 km/h.
Ntorq 150 has two riding modes - Street and Race. Street mode is ideal for urban riding while the rider gets more power and thrill in Race mode. The scooter weighs just 115 kg, which makes it light and agile. Its exhaust note is powerful but some vibration is felt at idle.

5-inch TFT display with more than 50 connected features
The most notable feature of the TVS Ntorq 150 is its advanced technology pack. It has a 5-inch TFT display, which is equipped with TVS SmartXonnect technology. More than 50 connected features have been given in this display, including features like turn-by-turn navigation, live vehicle tracking, last parked location, call and message alerts, OTA (over-the-air) updates.
This scooter also has Alexa and smartwatch integration, which can be controlled with a 4-way switchgear. Other notable features include top-speed recorder, 0-60 km/h timer, crash alert, weather updates, social media notifications, music control etc. Both the brake levers in the scooter are adjustable, which provides additional comfort in long distance rides.

In terms of safety, the TVS Ntorq 150 is second to none. It has first-in-segment features like ABS and traction control. Apart from this, features like crash and theft alert, hazard lamp, emergency brake warning and follow-me headlamp ensure better safety. During emergency braking, the indicators start blinking automatically, which alerts the surrounding vehicles.
The scooter has a 22-litre under-seat storage space, which can hold a half-face or small full-face helmet. A USB Type-A port is also provided inside the storage compartment. The scooter also has a glove compartment and a retractable hook, which provides convenience in carrying luggage.

The TVS Ntorq 150 is available in two variants - Standard and TFT. The standard variant is priced at Rs.1,19,000 (ex-showroom) while the TFT variant is priced at Rs.1,29,000 (ex-showroom). The standard variant is available in Stealth Silver, Racing Red and Turbo Blue colours while the TFT variant is available in Nitro Green, Racing Red and Turbo Blue colour options.
It is worth noting that after the implementation of GST 2.0, the prices of this scooter will come down by about 7% (about ₹9,000) from 22 September 2025. This will make this scooter even more affordable and buyers will save a lot.
Competitors: Who will it compete with?
The TVS Ntorq 150 will compete directly with scooters like Yamaha Aerox 155, Hero Xoom 160 and Aprilia SR 175. The Yamaha Aerox 155 is priced at Rs. 1.51 lakh, the Hero Zoom 160 is priced at Rs. 1.48 lakh and the Aprilia SR 175 is priced at Rs. 1.26 lakh (all ex-showroom). The Ntorq 150 is priced significantly lower than its competitors, making it better value for money.
In terms of power, the Yamaha Aerox 155 produces 14.70 bhp, while the Hero Zoom 160 produces 14.6 bhp and the Aprilia SR 175 produces 13 hp. The Ntorq 150 lags behind with 13 bhp but in terms of price and features, it proves to be better than its competitors.
